  Summary:

  • First Staff-level position at a fast paced startup where I had a major voice in technical decisions

  Responsibilities:

  • Communicated roadblocks, technical achievements, best practices and “philosophy of approach” to clients to facilitate good trust and transparency of work.
  • Raised concerns over client platform’s security vulnerabilities which resulted in an outside pentest confirming the vulnerabilities and prioritizing the re-engineering of the platform’s JWT authentication scheme to leverage Microsoft’s Authentication Library (MSAL). This process mitigated substantial risks to sensitive data and facilitated deeper trust with our client.
  • Attacked client’s growing technical debt and need for extensive refactors to enable new features by implementing the first end-to-end tests for a legacy, multi-client platform. E2e tests provided essential coverage that facilitated large-scale refactors while ensuring system stability.
